Fethiye

Fethiye sits at the head of a wide gulf scattered with islands and bays. The ruins of ancient Telmessos lie around the modern town, and Lycian rock tombs are cut into the cliff above it, visible from the harbor. The Paspatur quarter downtown is the old town and the nightlife hub.

Kizil Island

Kizil Island means Red Island, after the color its rock takes on at sunset. A lighthouse has stood here for over a century, guiding boats along this stretch; otherwise the island is uninhabited. There is sand on the shore and clear water off it.
