Sibenik

An entrance point of the Krka River, Sibenik is a historic city established on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia along the Adriatic Sea. It is home to the Saint James Cathedral, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. While walking around the outskirts of town, visitors can feel like they are in a fairytale world enclosed by the blue sea with its steep slopes and streets resembling a stone labyrinth. It is also a key point in terms of access to Krka National Park and the Kornati Islands.

Combination of Water Sports and Beautiful Shores

Sibenik is a port city on the central Dalmatian coast of Croatia, where the Krka River empties into the Adriatic Sea. Smaller ships can dock at Sibenik and daily boat trips are organized to discover its gems. The peak season starts in July and lasts until the end of August, but June and September are perfect for those who want to skip the big crowds and still enjoy the summer weather and atmosphere. The warmer time of year runs from June to September, with average temperatures above 72°F (22°C). The hottest month is August, with an average temperature of 75°F (23°C).  

Sibenik beaches are the perfect choice to combine sightseeing with sun, beach, and sea. Beach Banj is definitely one of the closest and most popular beaches in Sibenik with its pebble-stoned shore. Visitors can reach it on foot from the town center in about 10 minutes. While bathing in the shallow and clear sea, it offers a wonderful ambiance with the city always in the background. The other is White Beach, about 7 kilometers from the old city center, where visitors can experience the mixture of pebbles and sand that creates an enchanting panorama with the turquoise blue sea. Neither one can be approached by boat, so they make a perfect peaceful getaway with unobstructed views. In addition to these, the beaches of Ivan, Solaris, Rezaliste, and Jadrija, which can be reached by boat, stand out with their various water sports opportunities and beautiful shores.
